  • Ashlar

    Size 2” and under

    Sqft per Ton 40 - 50

    This fieldstone has been broken into random squares and rectangles. Ashlar fieldstone is typically used as a veneer stone on houses or as a wall building material.

  • Capstone

    Size 2" - 4”

    Sqft per Ton 75 - 100

    Dinner plate sized flat slabs approximately 3 inches thick. Typically for use as a wall cap. It also has sufficient size, surface area and mass to be used in the construction of “dry-stacked” (without mortar), freestanding, all-stone walls.

  • Medium Long

    Size 2"- 4”

    Sqft per Ton 35 - 40

    This stone resembles a random fieldstone brick. They are between 2”-5” thick and 6”-12” long. Like most other stack rocks, this is used in covering block masonry walls or chimneys, fireplace exteriors, etc. It is not recommended for use in building freestanding, all-stone stacked walls without mortar. It does make a great edging material for a soft, informal border.

  • Thin Dry Stack

    Size 2" and under

    Sqft per Ton 30 - 40

    This product is used to stack (with or without mortar) to make stone walls, covering block masonry walls or chimneys, fireplace exteriors, etc.

  • Medium Dry Stack

    Size 2" - 4"

    Sqft per Ton 35 - 40

    Hand-sized stone between 2”-5” thick. This stone for use in covering block masonry walls or chimneys, fireplace exteriors, etc. It is not recommended for use in building freestanding, all-stone stacked walls without mortar. It can be used as an edging material.

  • Thick Dry Stack

    Size 4"- 6"

    Sqft per Ton 30 - 40

    Square blocks of Tennessee fieldstone, around 4”-6” thick and 6”-12” long. This particular stack stone has sufficient size and mass to be “dry-stacked” (or stacked without mortar) in a freestanding, all-stone wall. Of course, it can also be used in mortared construction. Thick Stack can also be used as an informal border as a small, easily manageable garden boulder.
